MI VI Opening Day

Hi Y'all,

The first day of the shoot saw some pretty lousy weather. It was overcast most of the day then the rain came. The poor light meant high ISOs and not a lot of contrast. I managed to get in a few captures.

    Great set, Harry, especially with the weather that day. It was so nasty that day that I did not even try to photograph anything.

    BTW, Happy Birthday.

    Pink Spoonbills?

    Roseate Spoonbills.

    MINWR is one of the best places around here to find them (except when you are looking for them). It was very nice of them to show up for the out-of-state folks :D

    Very nice Harry. Most of my shooting in Dec and Jan were done under cloudy skies. You did a great job given the conditions. The yellowlegs is exceptionally nice. But the spoonie in flight plus the snowy in the last shot take the cake!

    I'm so sorry to hear that ya'll suffered so badly down there. I'm glad I didn't read this before I went to work this morning or I would have felt guilty about revelling in the overcast sky, twenty below, and ice fog :cry
    Glad you were able to salvage the day with a few images to share eek7.gif

    Nice shots. Really like the yellow legs and ya gotta love a spoony thumb.gif

    Thanks Dan and we were suffering down here in the cold. One day it even went below 40 degrees. We didn't make it back to 70 until the shoot was over. :cry
