Hey there... I'm not in Biloxi... but visit Ocean Springs regularly (right next door to the east).. I'm over on Mobile Bay...

If you got to the Harbor in Ocean Springs, you will see lots of pelicans... especially if you can find your way to the Inner Harbor... and on good days you will usually find egrets and herons around there too..

Biloxi and Gulfport (neighbor to the west) has a couple of Least Tern nesting areas on the beach... they are protected areas, but I believe you can shoot with a long lens...

Thanks Denise! I'm actually staying in a hotel in Ocean Springs, so I'll be sure to check out the harbor. Hopefully, I'll have some nice weather!

    Gulf Island National Seashore
    Neil..

Ocean Springs is a great town.. not sure if you know the area or not but there are some really neat old buildings around town.. and there is a real downtown there.. The town has recovered well from Hurricane Katrina.. although a drive along the OS beach will remind you of what all was lost..

You can also check out Gulf Islands National Seashore.. (go East on I10 past.. just past the light at the hospital .. and a Rouse's grocery store) there is an entrance to the park... it will be on the right.. used to be able to find gators there all the time ...

There is really a lot around the area... great shrimp boat harbors, etc... great restaurants too.. from BBQ (The Shed) to seafood (of course..) to buffets at the casinos... Check out the Yellow Mouth in OS if you want some great food..

Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything else I can tell you.. I've lived in the area for 20 years before I moved to AL 10 years ago..
