Never Expected This In The Mail

Every now and then, I hear back from a past client either via email, letter, Facebook, etc., letting me know what's been going on in their life and/or thank me again for the images I was honored to make for them. Whenever this happens, I'm so humbled that they took the time to connect. I especially love to hear how the images are something they've already begun to treasure, even though as time goes on, they truly become a priceless piece in their family's history.
Just recently, I received one of these letters from a bride who's wedding I covered last year. When I saw the envelope and who it was from, I had the familiar feeling of gratitude and thankfulness that my clients take the time out of their busy lives to stay in touch. I've never received a letter quite like this though. As I opened the card, out fell a piece of paper. It was a monetary gift (which for any amount would have been unnecessary!) for an amount that made me find a seat. Why did they do this?!?! I shook my head as I read through the card. She opened with "We've wanted to send this for a long time now and are finally getting the chance to let you know how much we enjoyed having you as our photographer!" and closed off with saying: "Again, thanks for making our pictures and our experience so special!"
I'm blessed to have the clients that I have and am looking forward to working with my couples for this year. Just the other day I happened to run into a couple who had booked me without having ever met me. Now that is trust!
