Domain issue - www

Zebleys

I have a registered host name with godaddy.com. Smugmug is not recognizing the www of my domain name when trying to murge my Smug account with my domain name. You can see my site if you leave out the www. In the account section, under "domain", I can only add zebleys.com. When I attempt www.zebleys.com, it tells me >>That hostname doesn't resolve to SmugMug's CNAME (domains.smugmug.com). See our help section on custom hostnames.<<

I've read all the help, went back through godaddy's settings and nothing.

:help ... Please?

Julie,

You have the www CNAME pointed at zebleysphotography.smugmug.com

You need to change that to domains.smugmug.com It must be that way.

Thanks Doc. Nothing has popped up yet but I know that can take a few but under the 'host' name, do I leave that as www or add my entire www.zebleys.com?

Do not enter your domain in the hosts field. Very few domain registrars require that as it seems a bit redundant. Just enter the WWW and in the case of A records an @ sign. That should be all that is needed.
