A few more photos from our session. Again please feel free to critique them.
As they stand, I am pretty happy with the end result.

Cheers

    Beautiful model.

    Nice lighting here.

I find the blur in the first two photos to have a very unnatural appearance. The transition zone between sharp and blurry seems too abrupt. Was this effect done in PP? If so, it's too heavy handed for my taste. What lens did you use and at what aperture?

The second two photos strike me as unflattering. The wide angle on these accentuate her nose (which is not her best feature). What focal length were the last two shot at?

Thanks Mitch...the blur was an afterthought which I kept b/c I liked the look. But I could add a gradient to soften the transition.

Both sets of photos were shot between 50 - 60mm..Full frame D3 I've been steering clear of the lower focal lengths.
Aperture jumps between f5.6 - F11 pending if I am trying to get both eyes sharp.

    Cheers

Even though it's been there since birth, sometimes things are better removed from a picture to better the composition. I think this may be one of them. Just my opinion. It's like skin smoothing to me. The skin doesn't look that good off camera, but to make the picture look better, we smooth the skin. KWIM? :D
