GBH's are such curious birds. Sometimess you can practically shake hands with them and other times the same bird won't let you within 50 ft.
This one is a regular at Carnegie Lake in Princeton. He (she) has a couple regular perches near the tow paths and is often quite tame. Lately she took an interest in me - maybe because I stand near her for hours at a time and have proven harmless?
After this photo I have named her Dolly. Yes, the white on her chest is blown. Its a full body shot that I chose to crop down. Do you approve of the cropping?
I've been getting around to all the shots I took this fall and stumbled onto this Snowy Egret that I somehow overlooked. It must have been operator error. Clearly a spectular capture. PS the whites are not blown in my prints.
