Comment Feature Recent Changes?

Has there been a recent change to the Comments feature for individual pics in the galleries? Some kind of Facebook link was added? Is there a way to remove it?

That was added last week, based on the release notes at http://blogs.smugmug.com/release-notes/2009/02/13/contact-a-hero-and-bug-fixes-february-12-2009/.

This CSS will remove it:

#fb_login_image {
    display: none;
}

i added this ......... but for me it seems that my site is slower for pictures to load since this facebook thing was added and remained slow even after i added that code. so my question is, by chance do you know if this just hides it or removes the fb connection? as maybe this is the problem instead of say my internet connection.

Unfortunately it just hides it. jfriend just posted in the API forum about this. I'm hoping that someone at smug is paying attention to this.
