I have a Pro account: erichoffmanphotos.com
My domain name is from Godaddy and I recently (two days ago) got an email address from them: eric@erichoffmanphotos.com
According to the rep I spoke with I have to do something about an MX record at Smugmug ?
After a minute or two the rep said "never mind, your MX record is with us (Godaddy)"
In order to check this new email address I go to email.erichoffmanphotos.com
I have tested by sending emails to and from the new email address and it works fine.
Does this mean I don't need to do anything about the MX record, either at Smugmug or Godaddy ?
And sooner or later I will customize my site to include things like: About, services, prices, and contact me with a clickable email link.
Will I be able to use the new Godaddy provided email address in this clickable contact me link I hope to have ?
I'm not real savvy about any of this website stuff, it's like a foriegn language to me, so I apologise if this and any future inquiries are very basic and annoying.
Thanks for any help on this,
Eric

We don't provide email at all at SmugMug so you are correct that your MX (email) settings should remain with GoDaddy. This enables them to provide you with email services for your domain name. An email account may need to be set up internally in their systems so I would recommend you direct any questions about your email service to GoDaddy.
