Egret question (no pics)

Since this is the egret forum :D I thought I'd ask this here...

I've never actually seen an egret in 'person' - where are they generally found? Any chance of seeing them up in Canada (southern Ontario) this time of year?

    Just look for "Harry" and you'll find some... Kidding (but not really!)...:D Yes I do believe we have Egrets (great egrets) but mostly Herons and bitterns. Generally you'll find them in marshes, swamps and estuaries, along the banks of rivers and lakes. They are nesting right now, it's a good time to get out and get some shots. Good luck!thumb.gif
