Problem with uploading

I tried several times to upload a file and, although it took an inordinately long time (10 minutes), I received a message at the end that the upload was successful. But it's nowhere to be found. It's a *.bmp file - is that supported? Thanks, glenn

Hi Glenn and welcome to Dgrin! wave.gif

BMP files are not supported. They are huge without any or much compression. Here's the list of supported file formats. I would recommend you to save your photos as JPG.

Thanks. I converted the file to JPEG and was able to upload it. Now my problem is that when I go to buy, I get a message that the image is too small. Am I SOL?

    Hi!

The reason that photo is not being offered in various print sizes is because the resolution on the photos are too low. You can see our resolution requirements here:
    http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-quality#minprintres
If the photos don't have large enough resolution, the print sizes are removed from the shopping cart to guarantee the best quality.

Do you have the original version of the photo? How about a link to it?

Please let us know if you need anything else.

Unfortunately, it's all I've got. I received it third hand in bmp format and I can't get the original file. Can you print it even if resolution is not great?

No, I'm terribly sorry. It has to meet the minimums.
