The Sweet Pea is in Bloom!

There is a hillside in Topanga Canyon (in Los Angeles County in California) that bursts into life every several years when conditions are just right. I always find it somewhat difficult to capture an intense expanse of flowers so this time I tried a variety of angles (I took 58 shots). I like these. (taken 5/24)

Thanks for your comments. I actually left the office for an hour in the morning when I realized there was some marine layer going on. It did work out well for the light.

I like the shots. Number 2 in particular. I's just your name thats causing me to get confused everytime I see someone use your name I think "but I didn't...." then I realize it wasn't me they were reffering to. I'm glad theres no other gary's in the office where I work.

Most Gary's never had to worry about another in close proximity. However, in the the Troop where I am an assistant scoutmaster we have two.

I am glad you liked #2. I cropped it a bit, but what caught my eye was a kind of flower tunnel from where I was standing to the further area. I thought the DOF might frame it nicely.

Laughing.gif yeah your lucky then. My dads name is Gary as well. Plus I used to work for him (as an electrician) and one of the heating and cooling crews we worked with the guys were both names Gary as well. We worked on a project with them that lasted a whole week. Needless to say we were all confused and by the end had given up on answering when anyone called our name.

I have to add that in my office we have a Jerry and a Karie - that can be bad enough, Laughing.gif.
