I had the distinct honor to meet some of the wonderful people who run the world's greatest photo sharing website.

Andy, it was awesome to meet you, and you are every bit as down to earth in person as you are in emails and this board.

There is some great stuff cookin' at Smugmug....but then again there always is!

Best,
Cathy Breslow :thumb

Cathy, it was so awesome to meet you, too! And all of our friends, old and new, who stopped by to talk. We're so fortunate that so many of you cared enough to pour your hearts out to us, we feel honored to have you as our customers and partners.

We've been focused on a bunch of specific stuff for you guys, and we plan on getting that stuff done. You can count on it! deal.gif

Thanks again for being with us :D

My buddies are also VERY excited about the future of SM! I need to be nice and not say, "HA! I TOLD you SM was great!!!" Better to let them figure that out for themselves!

    Wow
You mean there was more than one Kathy/Cathy there! Ha! headscratch.gif

Too bad we didn't have a SmugMug Party - maybe next year so we can all meet up that way instead of passing like ships in the night or photographers in a long, long hallway....

That was my first WPPI and I loved it. I did attend a Fred Miranda GTG, which was wonderful. I say we support our partner and have a formal SmugMug GTG!

Timothy Uhl from DWF.com also had a great idea: on his WPPI name tag he attached a picture of his very funny and unique avatar. That would help us instantly recognize each other. Or maybe we could get WPPI/Smugmug 2010 lanyards or pins or something to uniquely identify us. We have a little bit of time to think about this......heck, i'm not even unpacked yet!

WPPI was a blast. It's one of those things that you wish would never end! (But, I'm not sure I would have had a voice left at all if it went on for even a minute longer lol3.gif )

I loved being able to chat with everyone, show them around SmugMug, and show them why SmugMug is the best photo sharing site in the world! (And, I wasn't even paid to say that either :P )
Of course, winning the 5DMkII wasn't so bad either wings.gif

It was great meeting some of ya'll! Kat, Andy and the SmugMug Team, and David (congrats on the 5D...I'm jealous! Although I did come home with my share of winnings:D )

I finally got home last night, exhausted, excited and inspired. What should have been a 6 hour drive, with traffic, road construction, stopping for gas, meals, and potty breaks turned into a 9 hour trip. I'd love to say I don't want to drive anywhere for a while, but I'm hitting the road this afternoon......ugh.

I can't wait to receive the samples of new products I'll be carrying in my studio. My video light comes TODAY!!! woohoo

For those who didn't go this year, it is worth EVERY PENNY you will spend to go next year. The return on the investment is priceless.

    See everyone next year!

    yes
Very True, Heather. This WPPI was really special. I've already made appointments with potential clients because of things I learned this year.
