California Wine Country

Hi everyone. I'm new to dgrin so be kind. I love to travel, two years ago I was in italy, last year in Holland and Scandanavia, and this year it will be Greece.

A mini travelog of a recent trip to California's Wine Country.

I had reservations at The French Laundry, so I decided to make a weekend trip out of it and tour the regions wineries. The day of our reservations, I didn't do much shooting; the weather was so-so, I had just flown in, and still had to press my suit for dinner that evening.

Dinner was lovely, and the next day the weather was nice and sunny, and we drove around to sample some of our countries finest wines. The last day, the weather went back to raining so I tried my best to capture what I could.

    Nice looking series. I really like the color and lines in the first shot and the B&W tree at the end. Nice job!!

    Hehe, yeah watching Bottleshock is what prompted us to visit Chateau Montelena.

    Great shots, man! I just went to California Wine Country too! But it was Temecula :D About as far from Napa as you can get.

    Colors
    The colors of the first two pictures really stand out. I love the yellow and blue hues.
    Sidepockets monochrome looks awesome too. I have been to the wine country a few times and I know how hard it is to make good photographs there. Sometimes I always end up going at the wrong time when the weather is dull or the grapevines don't bloom.
    After seeing your work, I think I will go again.
