What am I missing? links back to home page

When I veiw my site, I see the Gallery Catergories, click on the catergory I want, I see the sub-catergory I have set up with the galleries in it, I open the sub-catergory to see the galleries, choose a gallery and now once its open, I have to hit the back button on my browser to get back to the sub-catergory. When I am in the sub catergories, there is a link (path) that I can click on all the way back to my home page. Why isn't there one once I have opened the gallery? Did I miss something in the set up? I hope I explained this properly.
