OMIGOD! 1 in 100,000 - I Made Parade!

I have to share with this forum the stunning news I received today. My photo was selected out of over 100,000 entries for Parade Magazines Snapshot Feature. It will be in the May 29 issue as well as being in their on-line gallery that week. Well, I guess I just lost my amateur standing, LOL. Anyway, I am guessing that most of the great photographers on this forum were not in this competition or I would not have had a chance.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Hi Gary,
Just wanted to let you know I saw your winning picture in the Parade section of the local Suday paper yesterday. Way to go!

and told Ed "that photographer is a member of dgrin!"
It didn't reproduce too well, that's newsprint for you though. The line screen they use isn't very fine (web offset) and I noticed the poppies got very blotchy, but, it's still a great photo and so perfectly captures the scene!
I'm hoping the painter will see himself and contact you looking for a "real" print.
Even after all this drama you've shared with us, I went off to NY without any model releases! :-(
It's a great photo! Let us know if you receive any "business" from being published. Do readers have a way of getting in touch with you through Parade?
Again, congratulations! I hope you get Parade, or have your own copy.
