Pictures duplicating themselves?

I uploaded a gallery of pictures last night. Then put them in file number order ( which is a real pain and wish they could fix this to happen automatically like they used to! ) Then today...people have been complaining that the slideshow isn't working for them, but it works for me. Now I find that there are 2 photos that have duplicates which weren't there yesterday and the photo's unordered themselves! Everything seems kind of screwy. Any ideas? :scratch

Have you used gallery quick settings? They'll save you lots of time. You just create the settings you'd like, name them and save them. You can have several different quick settings, if you'd like. Look here: http://www.smugmug.com/help/picture-storage
I checked the slide show in your most recently uploaded gallery, and it worked fine for me, too. I can't say what the problem is with your viewers.

Thanks for your suggestions. The autosort doesn't work for me. They still come out of order. I use macdaddy for upload. Could it be something with that? My file names are usually like..... wings (1), wings (2) etc. These don't upload well maybe due to the way they are named? I have had this problem for months and it doesn't change no matter how I upload them... It used to work perfect before that.
The slideshow that wasn't working was not on my most recent gallery ( I had uploaded another between this post) but the complaint was on gallery Lynsey6months which is where there were pictures that duplicated themselves. They say they start the slideshow and all they get is the green smugmug icon and a message that says picture unavailable. But still no problems for me.... Ugh....frustrating.......
It's most likely a problem with your filenames:
wings (1)
wings (10)
These don't have the same length and that screws with sort. You would have to name them so that they are all the same length:
wings (001)
wings (010)
wings (100)
If you expect more then 999 photos, you would have to add another leading zero.
You might be able to by-pass the issue by setting the gallery to autosort 'by date uploaded'. That would arrange the photos in the way they were received by the uploader.
It would be helpful if you could give us a link to the gallery in question.
Are you using a password in the gallery and do you use your custom domain? If so, you would have to give them the link to the gallery without the custom domain. So instead of:
www.mydomain.com/gallery/xxxxxxxx_xxxx
give them:
nickname.smugmug.com/gallery/xxxxxxxx_xxxx
