Crazy Clouds. . . . . . . IR

Yesterday I walked out of my basement dungeon (=office) to some of the most interesting cloud cover I've seen in a while. I had this awful sinking feeling. No time. I personally had no time and the clouds were moving fairly quickly. So I grabbed my IR camera with a wide lens (12-24) and raced over to a nearby park. Stupid, dumb, idiotic winter trees all over the place. They always ruin things. So I had to look for something appropriate for the foreground. This is all I found. Actually, I have another one with a building in the foreground, but I haven't processed it yet.

Very interesting clouds and the contrast with the grass in the front is striking. This is IR?? Colors seem very natural.

Yeah, it was captured with an IR-converted D70s.

I really like it too. The sky is very impressive and i think you chose a good foreground too. seems like the horizon is kinda tilted, but maybe it really was, how would i know ;-)

This is one of those types of shots where you have to decide to go with the implied horizon or the actual horizon. In this case, I think the camera was truly flat (with respect to the road at the left), but it looks off due to the horizon implied by the treeline.

I struggled with the same thing: http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=89000

That's a hill on the right side. The horizon is pretty straight. You also have the wide angle distortion affecting the sides of the image.
