Gainesville (TX) Ducks

Last Wednesday, on a road trip to Dallas for an umpire tryout camp, I stopped at an outlet mall near Gainesville, TX. On the way in (and out) of the parking lot, they have "Duck Crossing" signs near the ponds at the front entrance. I'm not sure what kind of ducks these are, but they were rather bold, getting really close to me. They're probably used to humans by now and used to said humans having bread, which I did not...

1) This is one of the full-body shots that came out halfway decent.

2) This is one of my favorites.

3) This looks like one pissed off duck.

4) I just like the way this guy looks.

As always, c&c welcome...

Very nice captures of a less than beautiful bird. The head shots are great.

Thanks, Jack. Just wish I would have seen the mallards before I got back in the car.
