Boat-tailed Grackle pair ??

Caught these two on the beach near Homosassa Springs. I think they are BTG's but not sure. The male looks more blue and less irridescent than in books but that may be due to PP using Shardow/Hilite adj. I thought he might be a purple martin but the tails too long. Can anyone help me with the ID?
D700 with Nikor 300mm f/4 and TC14 EII 1/500 f/6.3 iso 320

Yup, Boat tailed Grackle male (#1) and female (#2). The males plumage is very iridescent and they can have both a light eye or a dark one. Purple martins are teeny tiny, like swallows, and you'd rarely, if ever see them on the ground or at the beach.
