Hello,

I just uploaded some San Francisco pictures to my site (gallery here). The problem is, the photos (especially the ones in the evening) are a stop or two more exposed than they are on my computer monitor. Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks,

Brian

Hi Brian wave.gif we don't change your files at all. Depending on your viewing colorspace, and browser settings, and local software, things can look different. How do you shoot and process, what color space, what browser, what local software?

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for replying so quickly. I'm using a Canon Powershot G9 (though in jpeg mode, not in RAW), uploading to my Mac using iPhoto, then uploading to Smugmug using Macdaddy (as recommended by Smugmug). Hope that's the info you were looking for.

    Thanks,

    Brian

I'm guessing your mac is set to Gamma 1.8, set it to 2.2 and you should be seeing things the same

That did the trick. Excellent suggestion! I had no idea. Thank you.
