    Thank you. Sunrise, about 15 minutes into it. It's a Joshua tree (yucca brevifolia).

    Walter, well done! I especially like your composition of paralleling the branches in the foreground with the mountains in the background.

    Agreed nice job.

    You know I live in Vegas and have passed the Zzyzx exit off the 15 a million times never knowing what's out there.

    I hang out in the Mojave preserve often but never once checked out the zippper.
    Love this place, but I am an ADV rider too!

    Thank you. This particular shot was taken near Joshua Tree NP last spring. I'm preparing for an update on my Yucca brevifolia pages. It's nicer than the shot I have currently on the regeneration info.
