    Nice detail shot. thumb.gif Don't know much about cactus plants or their blooms
    so I had to look up both Pineapple Cactus & Barrel Cactus to more closely
    see what they looked like. Is what you have imaged here buds or the actual
    blooms? Or do blooms then become flowers? headscratch.gif

    Laughing.gif...sorry for the confusion with the title and the actual name of the cactus. In reality it is a barrel cactus. But to me the blooms look like pineapples. :D Eventually the tip of the yellow egg looking things (the hair) will flower into a vivid pink color. I can only hope to be ready to get that picture.

    rolleyes1.gifAh gets it now. Thanks. Looks like the blooms come in a fair
    variety of colors. My wifes blooms one red flower. Very small cactus.
    Its a beautiful flower that I've managed a couple of likable pics from.
    Looks like yours is going to have lots of flowers when it blooms. Nice.
