A few shots from me from a studio setup day with another tog friend of mine.
We spent a hungover day on saturday messing about, setting up, shooting each other for practice and then swapping retouching tips back at his.

It was a good day! :)

Unpacking.

Brolly.

A mixture of massive lights and small strobes. (My wee SB24 is hiding in the corner as a hair/rim light and my 430EXII is behind me lighting the room)

A bit of arty respite.

That octabox is stupid large...I could hide my Sherpa in it after he hauled it in and set it up.

I'm delighted to say I have access to one of those at the moment... haven't used it yet (it frightens me - I could use it as a tent!), but I'm sure gonna have fun with it once I get brave enough :)

Mister McCruff, I'm not only space and gear envious, but you have HOBNOBS!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, you can get them in the US, but only at a price.... ::jealous::

Ah yes, pictures :D The shots are fun! Light looks good - possibly a bit more expression might have been nice? But looks like y'all had a wonderful afternoon. Man, all that sppaaaccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yeah I have one of those (the 7') it's awesome. I also have the 60" softlighter. The two make an impressive pair and make for some really nice light. I like the combo of soft main, hard cross (rim) light you have going here. It's a setup I am fond of and use frequently. So much for my trademark lighting!!:D

Now for the nit pick. It appears you blew some the areas on the main light side. Cheeks and forehead. However I am on my laptop so accuracy is definitely questionable. The last two shots look good and not as hot on the main light side.

BTW very cool space, where did you find it? Rental? Looks like a good time was had by all.
    Thanks, Matt
