Assorted Yard Birds
I have been extremely busy lately with not much time at all to get out and photograph, but here are a few birds that are hanging around my feeders.
Dark eyed junco on the ground
Bewick's Wrens are getting more active around my place with their beautiful song.
I've seen more chickadees than every before and this is probably due to the change in placement of the feeder and the types of feeders I am using now. They love the tray feeder. Still, though, they are darn difficult to photograph.
I am sure going to miss the goldfinches when they leave.
And finally, here is one of the nesting bluebirds in my yard. I much prefer the natural perch, but this one image has some textures that I like with that old, rusting, paint-peeling fence post.

The Bluebird on the post with the flaking paint is very cool, Stephen.
Hey, can you help with the ID debate on my Hawk thread?

Thanks Dan. I love a good debate. I will check it out. My mother and wife both say I should have been a lawyer...something about liking to argue.

Thanks Mike. I love my resident bluebirds. They are nesting in two of four boxes that I have out this year. In that first shot, it paid off to lay down prostrate to get that shot.

Thanks Jack. The bluebirds can be finicky with their haunts. They usually like areas next to open land/pastures. I'm lucky in that I have that. I hope they return.
Thanks Dustifer. The chickadees are so difficult to capture. I am going to try to get one at a better angle later on this week if able.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
