Doing some photos for a fine custom knife maker. Heres one of his knives.
Getting the picture is easy enough. Making it pop per image is quite another.

Being a former collecor, I like this! Especially the designs in the folds of the steel blade.

Awesome knife. Is the background too white though?
    Anybody can do it.

It is a cool knife. Hmmm... too white. You know I hadn't been looking at it
as too white. But there certainly is the chance of it.
What I can surely see from here on my laptop to this post is the white
    background is two different shades!
Need to figure out how to get the white and pop the same to each
knife photo. So far doing so is driving me flipping NUTS.

Being a collector then you know how they got there. I guess it is quite the
process to accomplish the task. Like you I really like the patterns in the
    folds.

Background to stark, takes my attention away from that
    very cool lookin knife.

Is that a Damascus fold that causes the patterns ??

Azzaro. Excellent photos in that link and it is exactly where I would go had I
the wide variety of backgrounds to to do so.
Whats cool is that you bothered to find these examples.
Thank you very much. thumb.gif Michael

It is Damascus construction. Very appealing look.

Nice to get your feedback. :D

My brother is a custom knife maker and I've been bugging him for years to let me shoot a few of his knives. I think you did an excellent job. I don't know about the white background as already mentioned. I don't know if I could have done any better.
