    Yes, this is a good action shot Donna, and welcome to Dgrin where you can learn and learn and learn.

    Your shot is a bit out of focus (oof). If you look at the water and tall grasses in front of the geese you can see that your shot is front focused. Looking at your galleries reveals similar problems. Not sure if your lens is mis-calibrated or something else, but I hope this is helpful to you. :D

    I can tell you two of my problems.
    1)a Kodak z712 IS that doesn't do as much as I would like with this type of photo
    2) autofocus, because it is so dang hard to focus witha a little button on the back of the camera. The tall grasses at the refuge have ruined quite a few shots for me.

    (now if I can ever get my hands on the big kids camera...look out... nothing and no one will be safe from me mwink.gif )

    Good contrast, nice colors, an overall pleasing shot...but, as Dan noted, a little oof.

    Tall grasses get everyone! :D
