The japanese killing whales in our waters.....

If 3 indonesian fishermen on a 30 foot wooden stink boat come within a foot of our waters.. our navy put a few 40-60's across their bow...board them...imprison them for a year & then burn their boats & send 'em home.

We have been doing just that for ages.

But these bas%$ds can kill for 'scientific only' reasons....now they want to broarden their kill to humpback whales as well as the 440 minke's they kill for 'scientific research' each year. These Humpbacks migrate up & down our coast every year...you can see them clearly from our beaches/headlands.

This place is a meca for the japanese (they come to this part of 0z in their 10's of thousands each year)....i will certainly be advising them of my disgust of the japanese gov'ts decision.

Sadly

Gus

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Gus,

I went to the link you provided, and read the article. I can understand your disagreement with the Japanese government, but it's YOUR government that has agreed to allow the Japanese to hunt in your waters. Has Australia given up its claim to the Artic waters? If so then Australia has no standing to do anything other than diplomatic. Do they still claim these waters? If so, can I for example hunt whales there? Can anyone hunt whales there, or only the Japanese? If only the Japanese, then I would be looking at corruption, or shear cowardice.

Recognize there are people in this world that are willing to do anything in order to accomplish their ends, I reserve my ultimate loathing for those with the responsibility, and power to stop them and don’t.

Sam our trade in iron-ore/beef/yellow cake uranium/bauxite sales to japan are without doubt running this show (they are massive !). I dont understand the politics & no one can tell they do as there is corruption/cowardess in every Gov't around the world.

    Its a sad story.

Yes, our politicians here like to talk the talk, but as for walking.....well the only place they walk to is the bank with all thier ill gotten loot. However they are smart in an insidious way, they have fractured our society into so many factions we can't get two people to agree on what day it is, much less effectively vote to stop any of this corruption.

The real messure of honor, courage , and sacrifice is to do the right thing because it is the right thing, not because it's the easy thing.
