Quick Global watermark question?

I want to apply a new watermark to all my galleries. I set up a new quick setting to re customise in bulk all my galleries, but it is my understanding that the new watermark will not be applied to existing photos in existing galleries. My next thought (apparantly wrong) was to go into the customize page for each individual gallery and change the watermark to something different (Proof) and now I would get the new box asking if I wanted this new watermark to apply to existing photos in the gallery (I left the box checked). I would then switch back the water mark to the original (which was the new watermark applied in the quick setting - but different than the existing applied watermark). His save....and the watermark would not change.
Is there a way to apply a new water mark to multiple existing galleries? Or is the only way to go into each gallery, remove the existing and and the now one????
Thanks,
Michael

This only does one gallery at a time - not able to do multiple galleries then I guess?
Thanks

sure seems that smugmug was built and coded from the wrong way, like you cant make global changes simply at all. Watermarking should have been coded so that the galleries use watermark #1 (or some designated package), and you can change watermark #1, and all the galleries with the corresponding setting would be changed. Same thing with pricing packages.
This is basic relational database building. Even the open source Gallery project does this.
I love smugmug, but as my account is getting bigger, these changes can take hours, and I am now considering looking at other sites for this reason.
One more price or watermark change, and I am gone. I can code my own php/mysql smarter than smugmug.... makes no sense
