Want Even More POP From LR

I've been using LR2 for about a month or so. As a base, I generally like to at least import with a preset of autotone (I may 'undo' it depending on the pic) and then I'll make a few edits and finish with presets of 'Punch' and one of the 'sharpening' options.
But I've got a few questions....
1) Does the order of the applied presets matter? If I import the pics with 'punch' and then do autotone, do I get the same result as importing them with 'autotone' and then 'punch'?
2) Is there any way to apply 2 presets upon import? Ideally, I guess on some galleries I'd like to go ahead and hit them with autotone and punch upon import, then edit individually.
3) I keep wanting to get MORE punch that what 'punch' gives me. Is there another well-liked preset that will give me more of that look without me having to individually do it pic by pic? (I know each pic will still need some refinements but just looking for a base to get me close to what I'm looking for).
thanks!

In terms of quality, no, LR processes the data using the optimal order of the metadata edits.
In terms of your control over the image, maybe. That is, its usually a good idea to work top down (in Camera Raw, top down, left to right since there are panes). The controls are placed in a recommended order. Its not that you'd hose any data, you might spend more time fixing a fix if you know what I mean.

My TLR Digital Velvia presets for Lightroom are set to only affect the overall saturation or HSL panel sliders.

Same with my ACR presets.

If the author of a preset is careless, then their settings for other features can also be "cooked" into the preset.
