Nice blanket of fog this morning so I went for a nature walk.

Everything was blanketed in dew...

Found this spikey thing...

Found fungus!

Edit: I'll re-host these...

Hi, I like the fungus textures and colors too! Those thorny seedpods are a wonder of nature I think.ne_nau.gif Keeps the bugs out from eating the seeds? Then when they are good and dried out, it pops open and reseeds for the next year. Nice one!

Thanks everyone. thumb.gif The fungi shot was done in A mode, f13 for the larger DOF. Tamron70-300 in macro mode (180mm). It metered at 1/8th, 0ev.

The fungus shot is great. I find them hard to capture because the are normally in difficult places and in dark places. There are some really colorful ones too, do you have any more?

Very nicely done Musky. I've fallen in love with the 3rd shot as well. Its the lighting and the low perspective in that shot. It pulls the eyes in and thats pretty hard to do with macro. thumb.gif
