This is the Solebury Friends Quaker Cemetery, which is about 2 miles from my house. The cemetery and meethinghouse were established in 1803. The small structure in the photos is the caretaker's shed.

I love the way the tree shadows and perspective lead you eye to the tree trunk in #1. I think B/W was a very good choice for this series.

Nice series. I agree about the B&W choice. I like the streaming light and footprints in #2.

Excellent subject (backlit graveyard in the snow with an awesome silhouetted tree), my favorites are #1 and #3. It looks like #1 has a very slight leftward lean? Anyway, very nice series.

Thanks for looking and commenting, folks!

Ron, thanks for pointing out that lean. I'll have to double check that. :D

I agree with Daniel. Great exposure and treatment on these, Linda! The third seems a little dark, but I ache to see a Muench star from the sun behind that tree!

Thanks for sharing the peaceful stillness of the snow. :D

    Thanks, Dan and Steph!

Steph, my original plan was to place a "star" behind that tree but my attempts did not look very good. OK, they looked like crap. rolleyes1.gif So I thought I'd play around with a low contrast shot to make it look like a night shot.

Nice series. I'd have to say #3 is my favorite. I really like the long shadows from the tombstones.
