Winter won't let go.... C&C appreciated

It's been a long and painful winter here in New Brunswick (Canada). Our small farm is adjacent to the Kennebecasis River and, since it floods every spring and fall, to save our electric fencing from vanishing to the sea, we have to remove it every winter. The posts are 4' tall and, in spring, the water crests above the top of the posts.

This is my first time posting a photo here so please be truthful but kind :)
Also, I have my photos watermarked on my smugmug site and wasn't sure if there was a way to post it without the watermark. Sorry.

In winter, with the clean white snow and bare tree on the riverbank, it's pretty - unless you're as sick of seeing winter as we are. I spent two weeks in Vancouver on the west coast with my son and his family - where the crocuses are blooming and the tulips are close to budding as well. Imagine what it felt like to fly home to....

I really like the composition in general; it could have been stronger if there were fewer trees around it. I find the water mark distracting in the center of your shot though.

Thanks for the comment. I agree about the watermark. Perhaps I should set up a private, unwatermarked, album for photos to post. ne_nau.gif

I think the watermark is fine. It's totally up to you what you want to put and what it looks like and we all understand as artists that we're protective of our work. thumb.gif

I love the snow and thanks for sharing your photo with us!
