Replacing old watermark - will it update on images?

Question,
If I "replace" a watermark image I have on my account that is applied to all my photos with a new watermark will the new watermark be updated on the images? I am not adding a new watermark, but replacing the existing watermark image I have on file with a new watermark images.

A change to your watermark isn't applied to photos that are already watermarked.

Per the help page at http://www.smugmug.com/help/custom-watermark-protection, "Changes will only affect photos you watermark in the future, not photos you've already watermarked. If you want the changes to take effect on those photos, you'll need to apply the updated watermark to them."

If you need your watermark re-generated for many galleries (i.e. hundreds/thousands), I can actually do it for you. I have a super-secret script that I created to let me do it in a fraction of the time Otherwise, it's a nightmare! You have to go gallery-by-gallery to do it. My understanding is that even SM can't do it any faster..

How you do it is go to the Customize page for *each* gallery, change the watermark and ensure the check-mark that says, "Apply to photos in gallery" is checked. Hit save. Wash, rinse, repeat.
