I have created a 20X10 collage from a template I downloaded off the web. The PSD file of the finished collage is 20Megs but when I convert it to a jpg at level 12 its only 1.8Megs. All the photos in the collage are B&W maybe this is why?? also the resolution is only 147pixels/inch. I can not figure out why it won't convert to 300 but is this important? Basically I'm wondering if this file is large enough, has enough pixels to print a decent 20X10. Thanks this is my first attempt at collages.

Check out the information on resolution here:

    http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-quality

I made a large collage poster this year. The psd file is 82Mb, the jpeg is 9Mb.

The final size of the jpg in pixels was 4800 x 7200 or equal to 24"x36" @ 200pixels/inch (I set that when I made the collage).

    It printed spectacularly at 24 x 36.

Keep in mind that whole will be dependent on the quality of the parts.
