the glasses are back!
The shot that no one really cared for...
1a
needs to get ready for an 11x14 print for the wall! :huh What can I say...clients often like different things than the photogs do. (Although, I didn't dislike this shot as much as most others seemed to.)
So, beyond the glasses (which they loved) and my mistakes with lighting/color, does this version come across any better? Have I gone too far with skin smoothing? (I cheated and used an action.) Hmmm...the hair seems to have an orange cast on the lower portion, while overall it's a touch cool.

They actually chose 3 11x14s, plus 20 other shots! Here are the other two big ones. Before I send these off, are there any glaring processing issues that I should address? Can you tell I don't get orders like this very often? Good grief...I'm a nervous Nellie.
2
Again with the skin...trying to keep it natural yet a bit glamorous (despite the lighting).
3a
Just for fun...here's where the last one started out, with just minor adjustments. Look carefully at all the hair...AHHH! I'm going cross-eyed with stray hair cloning!

My only peeve with your first photo is it looks like that pose hurts.....it does not look natural .....but looks very strained.......HOWEVER IF IT SOLD then it is a FANTASTICALLY WELL DONE PORTRAIT.....not meaning that if it hadn't sold it was a bad portrait...no no no all to the contrary......it is a FANTASTICALLY WELL DONE PORTRAIT that to me looks unnaturale and strained.......
All the others look fantastic also....LIKE 'EM ALL!! I do I do I do.....Yup I dothumbthumbbowbow
Maybe because I was there and could see the whole pose, the first pose doesn't look awkward or painful to me. She was just sitting and kinda leaning back on her hand, head tilted towards me. Anyway...they liked it, a lot! Thanks for the comments!
Candid...I'm glad you like the glasses. Yes, I think you're right about the bit of crookedness. Now that I think of it, we tried adjusting them at the beginning, but they sat the way they sat and it's the way she's used to them, so...we decided not to fiddle with them anymore. It's more visible in #3, I think. One of those things that can't be changed now.
Thanks for the comments!
Any critique on the skin??

Something in 1a/b looks weird. I can't put my finger on it though. I think the rest look fine IMO. I'm just really drawn towards 2 (I just noticed the number you put 1 a...b...then 2...etc..., so my last comment on number 3 is actually #2 (the outdoor shot)). It reminds me of a Eddie Bauer advertisement or something. Beautiful.

I'm partial to #2 as well. Probably because it's natural light and I didn't have to worry about any flashes or umbrellas!
