Not sure how to explain this but when I viewed my homepage slide show it used to have no backround (transparent) or it just was the same color as the rest of the site along with my icon and border. Now it has a black back round along with my icon without a border.

I didn't change anything on my end, can anyone here ell me what happened? :scratch

I believe this is part of the slideshow problem that smug is working to correct. More details at http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=123225.

    Bad to worse
This slide show thing has gone from bad to worse.
Now my slide show doesn't play at all, it looks like it wants to start but all it shows is a black square with the SM logo and stays there looking ridiculous.

I've gone to other SM sites with the same thing happening, no slide show just the SM logo in a black square.

I really hope this is resolved soon, at the very least there should be some sort of announcement as to progress on this issue.

Hi Eric, your slideshow is playing fine for us. Are you at a different computer, different location perhaps? Maybe flash is blocked? Has anything changed on your end at all?

    Hi Andy
    Thanks for the quick response.

This is wierd, I cheked my site while logged in on my AOL account and the slide show does play.

When I go to my site through IE7 it doesn't play, either on my home page or in the galleries when I click on slide show.

This is all on the same computer I've been on all along, and I haven't changed anything.

I have to leave to go shoot a job now but I'll try on my laptop this evening and see if it's different.

I do want you to know I really appreciate your having answered and trid to help so quickly.

Mine also begins with a black screen and my border now has sharp corners rather than rounded......any idea when it will be back to looking nice?

    You guys are right
Well I just tried on my laptop, in IE7, and it IS working like it had been, black box and all.

Not sure what's going on (or not going on) with my desktop.

Gotta leave for work now but thanks again to all who replied.

How to see if flash is blocked?
    Andy,

You asked if my flash is blocked, how can I check this?

As I said, my slide show works in AOL on the same computer, if there is a problem with my flash wouldn't it also not work in AOL?

As you can probably tell I'm not real computer savvy, I seem to know just enough to know when things don't work but not enough to check or fix anything.

    Thanks again,

    Eric

    Too wierd
    I am really stupified now!

I didn't change or do anything except check my site one more time in IE7 and now the slide show is working again!

I'm at a loss to understand what happened, but speaking of working I better get going right now or I'll be late.

    Thanks again to all.

    Eric
