Comments, thoughts? I really hate to smooth away every single flaw, so I left a hint of the forehead creases and a few other things. I should also note that I almost never do this kind of hand retouching for wedding shoots - however from now on I think I am going to do it for one or two photos for every wedding.

Under her right eye looks overdone, but the rest is more subtle.

    Good catch, working on that.

Overall, a good image. But the color of the eyes have been changed. Brightened might have been better, no? Speaking of brightened, maybe a *bit* of brightening on the teeth as well?

Not digging the blue eyes at all. Otherwise it looks pretty good aside from the first comment.

The blemishes have improved but one of the reasons the teeth and eye color aren't working is the shot needs color correction. The overall apricot cast is taking away from any pop or elegance. Now I understand that many love this look but for all intents and purposes, the modifying of skin texture and smoothing will go much farther with color detail and refinement.

Teeth taken into account; I will consider the other things. I don't like brightening teeth or eyes because then they pop out in an extremely unnatural fashion, IMO. The eyes are already popping a bit with the color edit I did, but I tried to maintain low saturation so it was not glaringly unpleasant. I have another version that is not given the "apricot tint," and my personal preference is for this one. I'll look at the other again.

New version of the apricot version, adjusted based on suggestions:

Here's the color version next to the toned version:

I may very well be lacking the skill to properly alter the photo to look its best, but this is just about as good as I can do by myself.

I like the color version better. You might also pay attention to the whites of the eyes. The right eye looked off color in that area. Oh and let me say if this were a picture of me, I know I would prefer the edited version where everything is smoothed out.

The scleras are equally saturated/desatured; I really do watch that as much as possible. Same for the teeth.

Color better huh? Hmm. Well she's getting both of them anyway (included with the rest of the wedding photos). I want to note that this was taken against a door at treasure island resort in vegas, with casino tungsten lighting to the dark side and indirect window light from the opposite.

I really love the soft smooth look you've given her in your editing. I also think the eyes pop a lot better in your after now too. Good job!

Ahhhh nevermind I see it now. I think you did a great job! There were alot of dark lines and creases that you smoothed out to less hard but natural look. I bet shes pleased with it :)
