Made a return visit to downtown jacksonville for some night shots and decided to try something a little different... I don't have a remote transmitter for my strobe so I set the timer on the camera for a 30 second exposure and ran down near the water and gave a series of rapid pulses of the strobe while the shutter was open (by just pressing the pilot button), aiming it at the dock pilings which otherwise would have been totally dark. It gave kind of a neat effect. will post more pics from my shoot in the coming days.
