Sub-Categories not indexed with Google?

So about a year ago I rearranged all of my Kentucky Derby galleries. I broke down all of the events by year and created a sub-category for each year and placed the various event galleries into each years sub-category.

Before I did this, my galleries would come up 1st page on a Google search for "Kentucky Derby". Now, they do not show at all.
Not even if you search "Kentucky Derby Sniperphotography.com"!:dunno

The only thing that changed was the addition of sub-categories and the placement of the Derby galleries into them.

Guess I will change this!

Anyone have any ideas about this?

The above link shows up during a Google search for "Kentucky derby sniperphotography.com" but not the galleries listed in the sub-categories listed below.

Same keywords and descriptions. Also remind you that they all use to show up on Google...

Hi Ryan I received your email to the help desk and I'll respond to that also. If you put this in the google search "Kentucky Derby site:sniperphotography.com" it finds your galleries. So that means that Google is indexing your galleries, they just don't have the best page ranking. One reason you may not be getting good page ranking is because your content is old. Your Kentucky Derby galleries have not been updated since last year so they will not get the best page ranking unless you have a lot of traffic to the galleries or you have a ton of cross links. See our wiki page here with tips on how to get better ranking in the search engines: http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Maximize+Search+Engine+Findability.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm telling you though, within a few months of me adding all those galleries to sub-categories they all dropped off the face of Google. Yes, they are indexed, but they use to be first page on Google. Even 3 year old galleries.

I'm going to take them all out of the Sub-Categories and see what happens in the next month.
