Classic Lax

Just ran across a posting on a lax board which had a link to Life magazine shots from lacrosse in the 1950's.

They pictures themselves are hosted on Google images. Here's the direct link:

They were pretty interesting to look at--and see how far the equipment in the game as come. Too bad there aren't any shots of the equipment used to take the photos...

Very cool, love the lighting systems and face masks. Single bar down the front and gym shorts are amazing.

Fascinating stuff, Will. Certainly the gear has come a long way, but in most ways it's the same sport today as back then (as might be expected for a sport with a history like this one has).
