Should I be uploading full rez pics or should I resize?

Load times for my full-rez pictures seems too slow. I was under the impression that for every "original" sized, full-rez picture that you uploaded, various other sizes were created automatically. However, if I click "small" when browsing a gallery, the picture takes just as long to load as the original, leading me to believe that it's just scrunching the original into a very small window.
I don't have a problem resizing, but my concern is for prints; I obviously want people to be able to print from a full-rez image. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I load full res all the time... small loads a lot faster than original size for me..
anyone else?
Yes, it takes longer to upload, depending on your internet connection...unavoidable. So consider using a Smugtools utility such as Star Explorer to upload independently from Smugmug. Works well, is very fast and allows you to continue working elsewhere in Smugmug during the uploads.

"Serendipity...the faculty of making happy, unexpected discoveries by accident." .... Horace Walpole, 1754 (perhaps that 'lucky shot' wasn't really luck at all!)
So, uploading high res originals will NOT slow down the web display in anyway. It will allow Smugmug to create higher quality web displays and higher quality prints and give you full backup of your originals.
