Hello,
I am releasing a free program called SmugPush. It uploads photos and creates albums and categories based on your local folder structure. It is a command line program and it is designed so you can schedule it to run and upload your photos in batches when you are not using your computer.
If you are interested, please read about the details of the folder structure to see if the program fits your needs.
The SmugPush project web page is located at http://onebigword.com/smugpush/
Download Widows v0.2
FAQ
Currently there is only a Windows compiled program available, but SmugPush is written in Python, so it should work on other platforms. I'll be releasing the source code, and working on other platforms based on feedback and interest. Also SmugPush is still in early development, so any feedback is appreciated.

I dabbled with altering KomodoDrop to do something similar but could never make it totally reliable.
If you had released it Saturday I could have given it a real workout, 1900 pictures uploaded in to 26 albums.
EDIT: You might want to fix the typo in the banner on your blog, it reads "SumgPush".
