    Depends! ne_nau.gif

Generally I would prefer grasses just because it is more unusual.

As long as the bg is not distracting...who cares...really.:D

    Nice set, Ben.mwink.gif

I agree with Ric. It depends, but I prefer a bit of marsh color (brown or green). Oh and if possible I also prefer a more OOF background to focus on the subject.

Nice shots, btw. I like the 3rd egret and the coot shots.

I like the grasses the best, sky the least.

    Hope that helps. :D

Its not the specific background Ben. Sometimes water, the sky, grass etc work when the light and colors are right and there are times when they don't work. It will also depend on the purpose of the gig also.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Well...in this set, if I was the buyer, I'd pick the sky shot.

I guess it depends on what the image will be used for. From what you've posted, I'd choose the marsh grasses also--I like the colors.

I'm with the green reflections behind the coot. The grasses work too, third would be the water. The urban thing is a good idea, but it's a bit too busy - a less cluttered or more blurred background like that might do the job :D
