Is there a "best way" or a "smugmug" way to collect information about our respective visitors? For example, if you go to the SmugMug Pro Teaser (I'm SO excited!) http://www.smugmugpro.com/?, the first thing that is wisely done is to grab my email address, or make me follow on twitter or RSS.

In any of those cases, SmugMug now has the pipeline to me by which they can communicate, market, and sell me. I'm all for it.

How can I do this with my customers (existing customers are shown in Pro Sales) and, more importantly, my visitors?

I know we have the RSS feed, but that seems to be a "new image" feed more than a marketing tool.

Ummm, interesting question. A thread which I will watch closely as I would love to know this as well.

This can be done using some customizations to your site. http://wufoo.com/ has been very popular for setting up customer contact forms. There are other options that are probably more likely to be found in the customizations forum. I used to use a contact form but decided it was not needed for my business.

Gulf Coast Shots uses Constant Contact. We haven't been with them for long, but so far have been happy.
Please don't mistake my blunt, pointed posts as my being "angry," "short," or "rude."

I use FormAssembly.com to create specific types of contact forms. Has worked well for me for a couple of years.
