Star Trails -- Tioga Pass (Yosemite)

Tigoa Pass is closed about 4 miles west of 395. We drove up to the gate and snapped a couple of pictures.

Love it. Without the star trails it almost looks as if taken on a wonderful sunny day.

Wow!! These almost look like snowfall during the twilight hours. Was that moonlight illuminating the mountains so brightly? If so it's amazing you have such clarity in the sky!

The moon was at it's brightest last night. Long exposures look like daylight

In such situations I've had trouble with the moon washing out any trails.
