Went out to the Merced NWR yesterday and I had a White-faced Ibis feeding close to the shore. Had to stay in the car though. Glad he (or she) posed for the camera!

I've been thinking of going again to Merced NRW one of these days.
What else did you see at the refuge?
The last time I was there was a few months ago I found Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese and lots of raptors.

Those tall birds can be a chore to compose properly.
Bunnies, more Bunnies, Squirrels, Snow Geese, Coots, White-faced Ibis, Black-necked Stilts, Raptors, Great Egret, Killdeer and one Meadow Lark. I'm sure there were more, but I can't ID them for sure.
Are you "local"?

I am in the SF Bay Area. The trip to Merced NWR is a bit long, but it's always been fun visiting the area.
This is from my last visit to Merced:

Ah, Bay Area. Have you ever gone out to the Baylands in Palo Alto? Because of my mobility issues, I go to Stanford 'often' and one of my trips I took a detour to take some pics there. I'm due for another trip!
Thanks for the link. Great pics, especially the first one!
