Starting to sell off some of the Canon glass to complete the switch to Nikon.

    How would you compare the above to its Canon counterpart.?

    Just curious, why are you switching to Nikon products?

    Canon counter would be the 24-70 (?) I am guessing? I have never shot with one, but the Tamron 28-75 that I have is so amazingly sharp that I have convinced myself to keep it. I shoot a parade with it today and just a quick review of the images shows me that as long as I plan on keeping my 40D then the Tamron needs to stay mounted to it.

    This particular copy (can't speak to every copy of the lens) is tack sharp and I would not trade it for the 24-70 L.

    Decided to sell my Tokina 12-24 instead...again another tack sharp lens (I tend to pick through lenses to find the best copy I can).
