Photo's quite impressive.
How would you compare the above to its Canon counterpart.?
Just curious, why are you switching to Nikon products?

Canon counter would be the 24-70 (?) I am guessing? I have never shot with one, but the Tamron 28-75 that I have is so amazingly sharp that I have convinced myself to keep it. I shoot a parade with it today and just a quick review of the images shows me that as long as I plan on keeping my 40D then the Tamron needs to stay mounted to it.
This particular copy (can't speak to every copy of the lens) is tack sharp and I would not trade it for the 24-70 L.
Decided to sell my Tokina 12-24 instead...again another tack sharp lens (I tend to pick through lenses to find the best copy I can).
