Password protected site - no homepage slideshow

I just set up my site and password protected it. None of the galleries are password protected, just the site itself.
My problem is that if a visitor goes to the site and puts in the password, they are allowed into the site, but the slideshow on the home screen will not play. You can play slideshows from the galleries themselves, it's just the one on the homescreen will not play. Am I doing something wrong? I pasted the code into the bio section and only replaced the gallery number.
