I'm taking Photography in June and I'm not sure if I want to bring my camera the first day?

I'm thinking the very first day is going to be orientation in the class room and a q & a session, Should I bring my gear in my tamrac back pack?

Well the prof just might make and example out of you.......by asking you lots of questions about your gear and all............

I would just to be sure it was gonna fit his/her requirements

Bring it and snap a shot of the instructor.
When he asks why you took his picture, tell him it's for the hit men in case you fail the class. :D

You won't be the only one there with a camera, but I don't think I'd bring everything the first day.
I think most of these guys are old school, and like to have you shoot with a 50mm lens to begin with.

That's how it went a number of years ago when the wife took photography in college.

if I were you I would check the course outline, call the instructor or school and ask them.

seems you'd get the answer you'd want from them.
