These are the most nervous birds I have ever observed. She's foraging on two feet of snow still in my yard. (I'm so sick of winter)..

    I think that the female is more interesting than the male.

    Very beautiful capture indeed. I agree on the nervousness. I have a pair that hangs around my feeders but bolts immediately at the least movement.

    PS: I for one would take Lauren up on her offer in a heartbeat! :D

    Anyone who wants to trade your cold weather for our heat, just call me! We finally had some rain this week, but it didn't make a dent in the drought level. And we're supposed to be in the 80s this week--I'm sitting at my computer in shorts and bare feet. I really do prefer cooler weather. Now, if I can just figure out why I live in San Antonio! headscratch.gif
